Lemonade is one of my favorite types of beverage stations. Lemonade stations are sweet, refreshing and perfect for almost any kind of event. Here are a few tips for making lemonade extra special:
#1 Fruit Makes it Fancy
One of my favorite additions to lemonade is fresh fruit. There are so many different types of berries and citrus that complement lemonade perfectly and even ad a little extra punch of flavor. It's so easy to slice up lemons or ad colorful fruit additions like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc. Adding fruit just gives a simple lemonade and extra pop of color and fanciness.
#2 Make Your Own Ice To Keep It Cool
Keeping any kind of beverage station cool without watering it down can be a challenge. One trick that I like to use is making my own ice out of whatever type of beverage I will be serving. For lemonade, I'll either use the same type of lemonade that I'm serving or a flavored lemonade. I like using flavored lemonade because as it melts, it ads a little extra flavor as time goes on and keeps the beverage nice and cool. Depending on the event, I'll either ad the ice directly to the dispenser, or serve in a pretty bowl for guests to place in their cups right before serving.
#3 Combine the Fruit and the Ice
Include fruit in your homemade ice, because... why not!? It's the best of both worlds. It makes the ice pretty and keeps the beverage cool without sacrificing flavor.
